I went to an estate auction and they sold a large Coke collection from a Plant manager of the Logansport Ind plat, which was torn down long ago.

I bought 3 bottles and I am trying to find out what they really was used for. I am told they used these bottle to test the syrup input into the 6 oz bottles on the line when the syrup was added to the bottles. Another person said they thought back in the soda fountain days.

Here is alink of a picture of the bottle. It has etched lines that incircle the bottle and marked 1 1/6 and 1 1/32. And there is a white painted band just below the etched lines. Anyone tell me exactly what they where used for. I put a 6oz coke bottle next to it to show a comparision. The bottle is made by Owen Illinios, same comp. that makes coke bottles.
